Buenos Aires, February 15th 2007 – AGEERA, Argentina Association of Electric Power Generation Companies, has informed the electric power generation growth index numbers, which determined a 5,3% increase in 2006 towards 2005, having reached a energy production record in most of the country’s power plants.
Argentina Association of Electric Power Generation Companies has renewed its authorities and representatives before CAMMESA for 2007/2008.

The By-laws of A.G.E.E.R.A. provide the following:

  1. All persons with domicile in the Argentine Republic acting as power generators or included in such category under acts No. 15.336, 24.065, its supplementary, amending and regulatory rules, and those who are recognized as such by the Energy Secretariat or the National Regulatory Agency, provided for in Act No. 24.065 shall be allowed to join AGEERA as ACTIVE MEMBERS. Active Members, in turn, are divided into five categories, according to their electric power generation capacity, to wit: Category I: up to 20MW, inclusive. Category II: over 20 MW and up to 60 MW Category III: over 60 MW and up to 200MW Category IV: over 200 MW and up to 600 MW Category V: over 600 MW."
  2. "All those persons having domicile in Argentina, who are not Active Members, who wish to provide their moral and material support to the Association shall be able to be ASSOCIATE MEMBERS. They shall have the same rights and duties as Active Members, except for the fact that they shall not be members of the bodies of the Association."
  3. "The Energy Secretariat shall be an HONORARY MEMBER of the Association. The persons with domicile in Argentina, who because of their contributions to the Association in the pursuit of its goals or due to special personal qualifications, shall also be able to be Honorary Members, and shall be appointed at General Meeting of the Board upon the proposal of the Steering Committee."
